Make your vote count
Tucked away in the Senate Wing of Old Parliament House is the Australian Electoral Commission’s Electoral Education Centre (EEC). The EEC is a fun and interactive way to discover Australia’s electoral system and attracts over 70,000 visitors annually.
At your leisure, you can browse our collection of electoral memorabilia from around the world and enjoy our spectacular multi-media presentation on the history of democracy and elections in Australia. You can take yourself through our Discovery Zone and test your knowledge of the electoral process. And while you’re at the EEC, why not participate in your own mock election and see first hand the voting process and allocation of preferences? Become a polling official or scrutineer and reinforce your knowledge.
Special programs operate during all ACT school holidays, so call us now for session times and to make a booking.
