The National Dinosaur Museum is Australia’s largest display of dinosaurs and prehistoric life.
Learn how dinosaurs survived on earth for 165 million years and investigate what scientists now believe lead to their extinction. Touch real fossils and minerals; including a dinosaur bone from the Jurassic and a 150kg iron meteorite. The exhibition features samples of the world’s oldest fossils and minerals, more than 25 life-like models, 10 robotic dinosaurs and a diverse range of fossils and specimens from almost 4 billion years ago through to the present. While there don’t forget to visit their new Dinosaur Garden & Canberra’s largest retail display of gems, minerals and fossils in their unique prehistoric gift-store.
Please contact the museums bookings co-ordinator for information about their day and night (torch-lit) guided tours & fossil workshops. Bookings are essential and conditions apply. See their website or contact the museum for more information.
