National Capital Attractions Association

The National Capital Attractions Association Inc. (NCAA) is the industry association representing tourist attractions within Canberra and the surrounding region. The Association has over 45 members.

The Association’s mission is to promote the National Capital’s attractions, and we aim to work collaboratively as the peak body for Canberra attractions, to increase visitation to the attractions, and to provide a forum for marketing, information sharing, discussing issues and networking.

The Association is active in lobbying for the attractions sector with Government and other bodies, as well as promoting the national attractions through events, promotion, and publications. The NCAA has an Executive and Committee representing a wide cross section of attractions, and employs a part time secretariat to assist members and the Association.

There are three categories of membership (all are for financial years):

  • Attractions – for all attractions operating from one site;
  • Associate – for tourism organisations not necessarily attractions;
  • Umbrella Organisations – for attractions operating from more than one site; and
  • Kindred Associations – for kindred ACT and region tourism industry associations.

If you are interested in joining the Association,please download the NCAA Membership Information & Fees 2017 and read the eligibility information. This information must then be submitted for review. Applicants need to be nominated and seconded by existing members. All applications for membership are considered by the Association Committee.

The NCAA will only use information provided to the Association, or collected by the Association, in the course of performing its obligations under the membership agreement, or specific projects as and when required. The NCAA will take all reasonable steps to ensure that any personal information (such as email addresses) will not be disclosed without the member’s consent. The NCAA will comply with the Information Privacy Principles applying to Associations under the Privacy Act, 1988.
