When it became evident that Floriade would not be able to be held as usual, they had to think of something to do with their thousands of flowers. In the end, to avoid any congestion or unsafe crowds the decision was made to distribute flowers all over Canberra, becoming a new Floriade event – Floriade Reimagined.
Many of our members have been given some of the plants intended for the event. When visiting these locations in Spring, you will be able to see many of the beautiful botanics you would usually have experienced at Floriade, in the ground, in boxes, in pots, even in wheelbarrows. Something for all of us Canberrans to look forward to in the coming months!
