Founded as GetAboutAble Pty Ltd in 2015, we have grown from our Canberra base to be national leaders, providing tailoreIn the busy March 2025 quarter, 25 Australian tourism businesses took meaningful steps to improve visitor access and inclusion by completing the ATIC Accessible Tourism Program.
Designed to drive inclusive change, the Accessible Tourism program supports businesses in delivering exceptional experiences for people of all abilities and equips them to share clear, accessible information so visitors can plan with confidence.
The Accessible Tourism program is part of a suite of ATIC programs supported by the Australian Government, through Austrade’s Quality Tourism Framework Grant Program, to assist small, medium, and regional tourism businesses to enhance their quality, accessibility, and sustainability.
The Accessible Tourism program guides businesses through an online accessibility assessment that provides them with an Accessibility Information Guide for visitors. Sharing an Accessibility Information Guide gives visitors the confidence to make informed choices about how well a tourism business can accommodate their accessibility needs. Where businesses meet essential criteria, they are recognised across support areas of cognitive/autism; limited mobility; low hearing; low vision; wheelchairs and scooters.

Quality Tourism Accreditation achieved by over 50 Australian Businesses
Over 50 Australian businesses have completed ATIC’s Quality Tourism accreditation program during the March 2025 quarter, ensuring more visitors can enjoy quality tourism experiences.
Quality Tourism accredited tourism businesses meet specific quality assurance criteria, ensuring they are committed to exceeding visitor expectations with great customer service and the highest standards of business practice. Visitors can have confidence when booking with an accredited business as they have been assessed across business aspects essential to ensuring the best experience for all.
The Quality Tourism accreditation program is part of the suite of ATIC’s Quality Tourism programs supported by the Australian Government through Austrade’s Quality Tourism Framework Grant Program, to assist small, medium, and regional tourism businesses to enhance their quality, accessibility, and sustainability.
This achievement serves as a stepping stone for participating businesses, opening the gateway to advanced opportunities for growth, innovation, and participation in further Quality Tourism programs within the Quality Tourism Framework.

Australian Tourism Operators Strengthen Risk Planning to Safeguard Visitors and Staff
Over 70 Australian tourism businesses have reviewed their risk assessment planning, using the personalised risk assessment tool to ensure safety of their visitors and staff remains top priority.
The personalised risk assessment tool is part of a suite of ATIC programs and tools supported by the Australian Government, through Austrade’s Quality Tourism Framework Grant Program, to assist small, medium, and regional tourism businesses to enhance their quality, accessibility, and sustainability.
The personalised risk assessment tool guides businesses through a simple three step process of identifying risks, assessing the impact and likelihood of identified risks and developing mitigation strategies. Businesses are encouraged to undertake a regular review of their risk management plan and make updates where necessary to stay ahead of potential challenges.
In addition to the tool, businesses also have access to several case studies and the ‘Don’t Risk It’ manual which is designed to assist tourism businesses to prevent, respond and recover from a disaster.

Sustainable Tourism Remains a Priority for Australian Tourism Operators
During the March 2025 quarter, more than 65 Australian businesses affirmed their dedication to sustainable business practices through participation in ATIC’s Sustainable Tourism accreditation program.
As the Australian tourism industry’s largest and longest-running sustainability program with more than 3,000 participating businesses, the Sustainable Tourism accreditation program supports businesses to craft high-quality, engaging, and memorable visitor experiences that not only meet but exceed customer expectations while demonstrating sound sustainability practices.
The Sustainable Tourism accreditation program is part of a suite of ATIC programs supported by the Australian Government, through Austrade’s Quality Tourism Framework Grant Program, to assist small, medium, and regional tourism businesses to enhance their quality, accessibility, and sustainability.
Sustainable Tourism Accreditation incorporates sustainability across environmental, cultural, social and commercial business practices and aligns with the National Sustainability Framework for the Visitor Economy.
